Introducing
Designed for European autonomy
MailMask exists because email should not depend on opaque platforms, foreign jurisdictions or business models built on data extraction. It is designed for people who want to reduce unnecessary exposure of their digital identity, without surrendering control to advertising networks or external legal regimes.
The service is built with a single constraint: your email data stays under European jurisdiction. No trackers, no data exports, no hidden dependencies. Just a simple, predictable layer between you and the services you sign up for.
- GDPR compliant Operates fully under European privacy law.
- European infrastructure All services run on servers located in Europe.
- No US cloud dependency No Amazon, Google or US-based cloud providers.
- Data stays in Europe No cross-border data transfers.
- No tracking No Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or similar trackers.
A simple layer between you and the services you don't fully trust.
Terms of Service
MailMask is a free email alias and forwarding service designed to give you more control over how your email address is used online. It allows you to create unique alias addresses that forward incoming messages to your existing mailbox. MailMask does not replace your email provider and does not function as a mailbox itself.
You remain fully in control of your aliases at all times. Aliases can be created, disabled or removed whenever you choose. Once an alias is disabled, it will immediately stop accepting new email. No additional configuration or action is required on your side.
MailMask processes email solely for the purpose of forwarding messages to your mailbox. The content of emails is not read, analysed or used for any other purpose. Messages are not stored longer than technically necessary to complete the forwarding process.
The service is provided on a best-effort basis. While MailMask is built with reliability in mind, uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.
Appropriate use: MailMask is designed as a risk-reduction layer to limit email address reuse and exposure. It is intended to be used as an additional layer between users and services they do not fully trust. The service is not intended to function as a critical dependency for high-value, account-recovery or mission-critical communication. Users are encouraged to continue relying on their primary email provider for essential accounts and recovery workflows.
Privacy
MailMask is designed to process as little personal data as possible. Only information that is strictly required to operate the service is handled, such as alias addresses, forwarding rules and limited technical metadata needed to keep the service running.
We do not track users, monitor behaviour or build profiles. MailMask does not use advertising, analytics or third-party tracking services. Your data is never sold or shared with third parties.
MailMask is offered as a consumer-facing service. It does not provide individual data processing agreements.
European data jurisdiction. All data processed by MailMask is stored and handled exclusively within Europe. The service runs entirely on European infrastructure and does not rely on US-based cloud providers or external services. As a result, your data remains under European jurisdiction at all times.
Email content is processed only to forward messages to your mailbox and is not retained beyond what is technically necessary to complete delivery. MailMask does not store email content for analysis, archiving or any secondary purpose.
Fair use & Legal framework
MailMask is a receive-only email alias and forwarding service. It does not allow email to be sent from alias addresses.
The service is intended for reasonable personal use. Aliases are meant to help protect your own email address when signing up for services or communicating online, not to involve third parties without their consent.
Creating aliases to register other people's email addresses without permission, deliberately triggering excessive automated email flows, or generating unusually large volumes of inbound email is considered misuse of the service.
If usage patterns clearly indicate misuse or place disproportionate load on the service, access may be limited or revoked in order to protect overall availability and reliability.
MailMask operates under European law, including the General Data Protection Regulation. The service is governed exclusively by European legislation and does not fall under US jurisdiction or data access laws.
By using MailMask, you agree to these terms as described above. Any updates to these terms will be communicated clearly and will not be applied retroactively without notice.
About MailMask
MailMask is independently operated from Europe.
The service is developed and maintained by Ronald van der Meer, with professional experience in information security and risk governance within regulated and public-interest service environments in the Netherlands.
The service is intentionally small and predictable. Its scope, operation and long-term behavior are designed to remain stable over time, with decisions guided by risk awareness rather than growth incentives.
